Staays

This is the only hotel on the private island of Mustique and you won't find a more peaceful paradise than this. Arrive via a propeller plane before spending the rest of your holiday whizzing around on golf carts and falling into the swing of island time. Whether you're staying in the main house, designed in 1968 by Oliver Messel, or in a more secluded veranda-wrapped cottage, it's time to chill – life on Mustique means everything is laidback. Meet the locals at Basil's Bar at sunset, joining in with their Taco and Tequila or Jump Up nights, before winning a hand at backgammon back at the hotel (thank the rum and gingers for that). The team make this a super special stay, whether they're sorting out tennis courts for you or packing up a beach picnic cooler.
