Staays

Once a former flour mill, owners Jérémy and Nicolas stumbled across the pond-hugging guesthouse after swapping the city of Lille for the countryside. This six-room stay (decked out in a simple design with pops of soft colour), in and amidst the Côte d’Opale, likes to champion seasonal living, getting out and about and taking things easy. Bikes are there for cycling the dunes – the nearest beach is only 3km away – but we like to rise slowly in time for sugar pie at breakfast before. There’s a sweet pantry for sourcing your own aperitif before venturing out for dinner – oysters, seafood, and just-caught fish are often on the menu in this part of the country. Just a little heads-up—this hideaway is an adults-only retreat.
