It’s not an unusual concept for a run-down building to get a glow-up, and in Menorca, it was very happy news when the cool kids at the Experimental Group wanted to put their own spin on an island finca. It’s totally beachy but stylish too, with rooms and hangout spots going big on colour and creativity without losing comfort and infrastructure. Spread across dancing cacti and island flora are pockets of freestanding rooms (we prefer being out of the main house as it can get a little buzzy) all decked out in bright coloured textiles and white washed walls. Privacy is savoured but so is socialising – whether it be with the other younger couples sipping cañas by the pool or the effortlessly relaxed team who really know the best spots on the island. Leaving is hard, but worth it for the beaches, then come back for chill time next to a banging playlist and crispy patatas bravas. That’s what we’d do.
