Les Bains is the achingly hip spot to drink, dance and eventually sleep in Le Marais. All the coolest characters have spent a few lost nights here – Prince, The Rolling Stones, Yves Saint Laurent, you get the drift. With Gainsbourg-esque interiors by filmmaker Jean-Pierre Marois and designer Tristan Auer (of Hotel Le Crillon and Cotton House, Mustique Island) this is the place to be for the city's art and music crowd, sipping Filthy Tinis on leather sofas against original graffiti from the hotel's café past – it used to be France’s answer to Studio 54. Hit the spa after a late one at the basement nightclub – we won't blame you if you took a dip in the pool at midnight, it’s really the thing to do.
