This is a family affair. In 1968, husband-and-wife duo Alan and Lady Elizabeth Godsal stumbled upon a private seaside getaway in Barbados and quickly thought it would make the most magical Caribbean hotel. Now in the hands of their son, Hugh, and his wife Sam, sun seekers and design lovers fly from near and far for their regular dose of pink parasol pool time and the best mahi-mahi around. The interiors are much-loved and have been freshened up by Lulu Lytle of Soane Britain, complementing the cool charm of the house while tuning in to the flora of the little stretch of coastline Cobblers sits on. It's a place to be spoiled, with some of the best service of any hotel and exceptionally delicious food. Dressing up for dinner (yes, the guests here do that) is also a must and there's sunshine all year round. What more could you want?
