Opening its doors in 2024, this colourful city pad from the team behind Paris's La Fantaisie is compact but overflowing with style and stellar service. In the quietness of Monti – the ever-cool, locals-first neighbourhood in between the Colosseum and Santa Maria Maggiore – it’s stuffed with bright textured wallpapers, vivid fabrics and playful ceramics that make for a pretty fun stay, whether you're in a cosy room or terraced suite. Hideout in Susanne Kaufmann spa (take note this spa is up on the 5th floor, not underground, so the views are something else) before dinner, with staff on hand to champion the city's secret spots, and with Roman restaurants so good, it’s wise to dip out. We’re often making a beeline for the rooftop, which feels rather like a secret in this busy city. Just don’t tell anyone.
