If you're after peace, this low-key agroturismo is perfect – quieter than neighbouring islands Ibiza and Mallorca, the hidden spot (Amagatay translates to this in Menorcan dialect) is on a 35-acre park, surrounded by billowing olive trees. Everything is about disconnecting, from the serene suites flooded with light to subtle gardens and canopy beds. Designer Virginia Nieto drew on the farm's historic details (dry stone, gabled roofs) for the rustic-modern interiors, where antiques mix with natural materials (wrought iron, ochre and powdered aubergine paints make for a pretty mash-up). After a day out and about getting friendly with nature, head to dinner at restaurant Amagatay, with a menu from chef Juanjo Lopez Bedmar. Homeware fans will appreciate the pink and green striped table cloths and ochre pleated lampshades too.
